This year Oakley Chapter 694 won the raffle organised by The Provincial Grand Chapter of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, the prize was a ceremony of Exaltation conducted by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent (MEGS) Stephan Allum and his team. This event took place on 9th April at the Basingstoke Masonic Centre, and turned out to be very special indeed. We witnessed the first working of a new version of Exultation, based on the ‘Savage’ ritual, this turned out to be very engaging and informative. The Provincial Grand Master Jonathan Whitaker (who is a Past First Principal of Oakley Chapter) was in attendance. 58 dined at the After Proceedings, where MEGS presented the newly Exalted Companion with the cuff-links he had been wearing, which are unique, MEGS had them made for this occasion. 🌟 Last night, on Monday, March 25th, 2024, was a truly memorable occasion at the Royal Arch Twynham Chapter No.5889 as we gathered to witness the Exaltation Ceremony of the esteemed W.Bro. Michael Chappell. 🎉For anyone familiar with the Christchurch Masonic Centre, W.Bro. Michael needs no introduction—his presence is as ubiquitous as the drinks he serves from the bar!The evening kicked off at 6:00 PM sharp with the 210th Convocation, led by the current MEZ, E.Comp David Lowe, alongside his fellow Principals. After swiftly approving the previous minutes, the ballot for another prospective Exaltee was cast and met with resounding success. The Chapter then delivered a flawless Exaltation Ceremony, showcasing their exceptional skill, with the IPZ E.Comp John Jenkins occupying the 1st Principal’s Chair to guide the proceedings.We were honoured to host VGCO E.Comp Mike Trevett, who graced us with his presence and presented Comp. Michael with his Grand Superintendent’s Booklet, alongside Provincial Third Grand Principal, E.Comp David Taylor.Following the ceremony, we reconvened for a festive board that lived up to the renowned standards of the Christchurch Masonic Centre.🔍 Royal Arch Masonry, an integral part of Craft Masonry, builds upon the Third Degree. All Master Masons, one month post-Raised, are eligible to join. We highly encourage considering this significant step! Thursday 22nd of February 2024 saw esteemed Companions come together at the Lymington Masonic Centre for the Exaltation Ceremony of two new Companions of New Forest Chapter No.319 at its 688th Convocation.The evening commenced promptly at 5.45pm with the Chapter being opened and the previous minutes being approved and confirmed. It was then onto the balloting of Bro. Benjamin Sussex a member of Twynham Lodge No 5889, and Bro. Jan Swager a member of New Forest Lodge No 319. The ballot proved successful, and the members of the Chapter went on to perform a superb Ceremony of Exaltation with a very high degree of skill.Both candidates conducted themselves admirably and were also addressed at the end on behalf of Provincial Grand Chapter by visiting Grand Chapter Officer and Provincial Third Grand Principal E.Comp David Taylor.E.Comp Neil White acting as Z, in the absence of E.Comp Peter Kinley who was on holiday, had the honour of investing E.Comp Mike Upward as the Chapter’s Mentor from the last Installation meeting.Grand Chapter Certificates were then presented to recently Exalted Companions Julian Trimming and Garry Vidler by E.Comp Alan Hamilton (the Chapter’s Visiting Officer) with a detailed explanation given of their symbology and content.The Chapter was then closed in due form and the Companions returned to the main hall to partake in the festive board.Remember, Royal Arch Masonry is inextricably linked to Craft Masonry and follows on from the Third Degree. All Master Masons after a month of being Raised are eligible to join and it is highly recommended that they consider this important step.
